FEATURE - WInter blues be gone

Not ready yet for the bright colors of Spring? How about grey – our favorite seasonless color – covering all shades of the spectrum from charcoal to steel to heather. What’s new about grey are the unexpected incarnations – a jersey evening gown by Kirrily Johnston is chic, while the metallic-finish on Karen Walker’s cotton day dress is sporty. INTERVIEW - Christopher Blomquist
Between puffs we caught up with Christopher Blomquist, North American Bureau Chief of Sportswear International (the leading glossy trade mag), at New Zealand fashion week. Read below for fashion advice and to find out about the inner workings of this self-depreciating New Yorker who loves trashy auto-biographies, Zambesi, laughing and (until recently) cigarettes. A self-confessed procrastinator and pack rat, his fashion motto on a really, really bad day is “Unless it will change the world entirely, I ain’t interested”.
